There’s something special about summer weddings in the Yorkshire Dales — the long golden evenings, the soft countryside light, and that feeling of calm that only comes from being surrounded by nature. Kristina and David’s August wedding at Yorebridge House had all of that and more: heartfelt moments, beautiful details, and a couple who couldn’t stop smiling all day long.
The day began with the sun streaming through the windows of Yorebridge House, one of North Yorkshire’s most elegant boutique venues. Kristina got ready in one of the charming suites.
Meanwhile, David and his batsman (son) enjoyed a relaxed start downstairs — a few nervous laughs, a toast to the day ahead, and those final touches before guests began to arrive.
As a North Yorkshire wedding photographer, mornings like these are some of my favourite moments to capture — natural, unscripted, and full of anticipation.
The ceremony took place in Yorebridge House beautiful garden. Kristina’s entrance was nothing short of radiant, and the look on David’s face said it all.
The garden was filled with love, laughter, and a few tears as they exchanged their vows surrounded by close family and friends. It was a ceremony that perfectly reflected who they are — warm, genuine, and full of joy.
After the confetti and hugs, guests enjoyed drinks on the lawn, with views stretching across the Yorkshire Dales. The weather couldn’t have been better — soft sunlight, a gentle breeze, and that unmistakable August glow, the rain held off just long enough for us to finish our couples photos.
We wandered through the gardens near the river for some relaxed portraits, taking advantage of the golden hour light that Yorebridge House wedding photography is known for. Kristina and David were completely at ease — laughing, chatting, and simply soaking in the moment. Those quiet, in-between shots ended up being some of my favourites from the whole day.
As the sun dipped behind the hills, the celebrations moved inside. The speeches were heartfelt and hilarious in equal measure, followed by a lively first dance that set the tone for a brilliant night ahead. The dancefloor filled quickly and stayed that way — a true reflection of how much love surrounded this couple.
From start to finish, the day was full of warmth, laughter, and those fleeting moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.
Kristina and David’s Yorebridge House wedding was a beautiful blend of elegance, emotion, and relaxed countryside charm. It was a true privilege to capture their story in one of North Yorkshire’s most picturesque wedding venues.
