The Wedding of Erin & harry | Woodhill Hall estate in northumberland

Erin & Harry’s Beautiful Woodhill Hall Wedding | Captured by Dash Photography

There are some weddings that simply glow — not just because of the sunlight, but because of the people at the heart of it. Erin and Harry’s Woodhill Hall wedding was one of those days that felt effortlessly joyful from start to finish. Set against the backdrop of golden autumn light, their celebration was everything you’d hope for from a Northumberland wedding in October: warm, relaxed, and full of laughter.

A Perfect October Day at Woodhill Hall

Woodhill Hall, nestled in the rolling Northumberland countryside, is one of those venues that looks stunning in every season — but Erin and Harry’s sunny October day showed it off at its very best. The morning began with calm excitement in the bridal suite, with Erin with her sister Rowan.. The soft natural light poured through the windows, perfect for those intimate, candid moments that tell the real story of the morning.

Harry and the batsman prepared nearby, the mood equal parts nerves and banter. From the very start, it was clear that this was going to be a day filled with genuine emotion and connection — the kind of atmosphere that makes my job as a wedding photographer an absolute dream.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the Olive House, a space that captures light beautifully and feels both elegant and relaxed. Erin’s entrance was breathtaking — a pause, a deep breath, and then pure emotion as she walked toward Harry. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

As they exchanged vows, the autumn sunshine streamed through the glass, creating a soft golden glow that wrapped around them. It was one of those moments that remind me exactly why I love documentary wedding photography — real, unscripted, and full of heart.

Golden Hour Magic

After the confetti and cheers, guests spilled out onto the terrace to enjoy the unseasonably warm sunshine. We slipped away for a short couple’s session around the grounds, taking advantage of that perfect golden hour light that makes Woodhill Hall wedding photography so special.

Erin and Harry were completely at ease — laughing, chatting, and soaking in the moment. Those natural, unposed moments between them were some of my favourite frames of the day.

Evening Celebrations

As the sun dipped below the hills, the teepee was transformed into a glowing space of fairy lights, and once the band started, the dance floor stayed full well into the night.

It was the perfect ending to a perfect day — a true celebration of two people who are absolutely made for each other.

Final Thoughts

Erin and Harry’s Woodhill Hall wedding was a joy to capture — a day full of warmth, love, and the kind of light photographers dream of. If you’re planning your own wedding at Woodhill Hall or anywhere in Northumberland, I’d love to help tell your story in the same relaxed, documentary style that lets the real moments shine.
